Rev Dr Grant Barclay
Presbytery Clerk
The Presbytery of Glasgow encompasses over 120 congregations of the Church of Scotland within the Greater Glasgow area and we are committed to supporting each other as congregations to be people of the Way. Whether you are looking for a local church, want to find out about upcoming training or other events, or you're a Presbytery member looking for the upcoming meeting papers, we hope you'll find this site useful.
The Presbytery of Glasgow is part of the Church of Scotland whose vision is to be a church which seeks to inspire the people of Scotland and beyond with the Good News of Jesus Christ through enthusiastic worshipping, witnessing and serving communities.
Presbytery is the gathered life of over 120 congregations within the Greater Glasgow area. Presbytery meetings involve representatives from local churches across the bounds who gather for fellowship, worship and to discuss church business. Teams are appointed to deal with specialist areas and bring their reports and proposals to the Presbytery meetings for discussion and approval.
The focus of the Presbytery is to support congregations to be people of the Way, whether that be in helping each other to learn new skills, share ideas, plan, govern ourselves well, challenge or inspire each other.

The Presbytery is supported by a staff team who provide administrative and specialist support.
