About Lenzie: Union
Lenzie Union has a wealth of groups and organisations, taking an active part in church and community life. All our groups are very open and welcome new members and visitors. During the year most activities run between September and May. Information about the Church and its activities and organisations can be found in our annual Directory, weekly Update and quarterly View publications and on our website www.lenzieunion.org.
Church Services
Services of worship which are attended by all ages are held every Sunday morning at 11am and are led by the Minister, the Rev Dan Carmichael. A mixture of traditional and modern hymns is used and members of the congregation are encouraged to take part in the service as appropriate. Evening services are also held on Sunday evenings at 7pm between September and May and the Sanctuary is open on Wednesday mornings from 10am for anyone to enter for a quiet time of worship. Additional services are held at special times of the year e.g. Christmas and Easter. Services are recorded for the housebound and sick who are unable to attend. Holy Communion is celebrated four times a year, in March, June, September and December and also at other appropriate times. The Minister celebrates Holy Communion in the homes of housebound members.
