Kelvin West Parish Church is looking for a Church Administrator.
This is a part time position involving working 12 hours a week. The position requires you work in the Church Office at 77 Southpark Avenue for 3 hours on a designated day. The designated day will be discussed and agreed with you. There is flexibility regarding the other 9 hours which can be worked from home if wished, subject to attending the Church Office at other times if required to fulfil your duties.
The successful candidate will work with the ministry team, the Church Officer, the Session Clerk and the Director of Music as well the Kirk Session members and its various committees and groups.
Key tasks include:
Preparation of the Order of Service for the weekly Sunday morning service
Working with the editor, co-ordinate preparation of the Kelvin West Parish Church News
Assisting the moderator of the Kirk Session and the Session Clerk in organising Kirk Session meetings
Working with the Church Officer, administer the significant number of lets of the various parts of the church building
Liaising with the Director of Music regarding the music for the Orde of Service, copy music as required and deal with copyright record keeping.
On 28 November 2024, the union of Kelvinbridge Parish Church and Wellington Church took place to form Kelvin West Parish Church, so it is an exciting time for this new congregation.
Kelvin West welcomes into its life and worship of its congregation all people whatever their ethnic origin, gender, background, age sex, mental or physical ability. Outreach is a strong focus and Kelvin West has a full-time Youth and Community worker.
